Sympetrum fonscolombii distributed across the Eurasian continent, including Southern Europe, North Africa, Central Asia, Russia, and Mongolia. It is a migratory dragonfly, flying from continental Europe to the UK in summer and appearing in Japan, the Ryukyu Islands, and Taiwan in autumn.
